Richard J. Testa, Jr., is a Certified Financial Planner, whose experience in understanding the numbers combined with the practical view of his client’s current financial position, and consistent recognition for the most appropriate long-term development plan for future wealth management, are the excelling reasons his services are different and better than other financial planners. His approach is based on, as he says, “Looking at the big picture first, then filling in the specific details.”
Richard’s business attracts an esoteric clientele, one that understands the ten-, fifteen-, and twenty-year plan. By partnering with his lifetime clients, Richard consults with each of them as their goals and needs occasionally shift, as well as regularly reviewing the robustness of their current portfolio. Offering this proactive measure solidifies the mutual financial planning relationship, as well as the commitment and loyalty of his clients.
Richard attended Worcester Polytechnic Institute, in Worcester, Massachusetts for his undergraduate degree. He then studied for his master’s degree in finance at Babson College in Wellesley, Massachusetts, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. Later, he continued on to MIT in Cambridge, Massachusetts, where he earned his master’s degree in engineering.
After graduating from Babson in 1998, he pursued a career in financial planning at Merrill Lynch. In 2003, after five years of acquiring experience at the Fortune 500 company, Richard left to focus his attention on clients in a regional capacity, working for a smaller brokerage firm.
In 2010, Richard further crystallized his niche services in a more personalized, trusting capacity, joining the boutique broker-dealer firm, Prospera Financial Services, headquartered in Dallas, Texas. He is proud to be on a first-name basis with the company’s three owners, a business model which he routinely applies to his relationship with his clients.
Richard and his family enjoy downhill skiing, waterskiing, and cheering on the Boston Red Sox.
